The fully automatic edge welt machine for automotive air conditioning filters is a special automatic machine made for producing automotive air conditioning filters (especially folded filters).Its main job is to do precise laminating and pressing on the side edges (or edges) of filter substrates—like laminating sealing foam, wrapping edges with filter paper, and sticking rubber strips.This improves the filter’s sealing performance, structural stability, and filtration integrity, and this meets the strict requirements of automotive air conditioning systems for filter dimensional precision and assembly compatibility.
This automatic edge welt machine mainly serves the large-scale production of automotive air conditioning filters, with a particular focus on mainstream folded paper filters and composite fiber filters. It can adapt to filter sizes corresponding to different vehicle types (sedans, SUVs, commercial vehicles, etc.)—covering a common size range of 100-400mm in length and 50-200mm in width—and supports automated operations for various edge laminating materials.
High Flexibility: Adapts to the switching of multiple filter specifications. The equipment has rapid model changeover capability to meet the production needs of filters for different vehicle types, without the need for extensive mechanical structure modifications.
Parameterized Settings: Filter dimensions (length, width, edge laminating width), edge laminating material type, pressing pressure, and other parameters can be directly input via a touchscreen. The PLC automatically invokes the corresponding program, with model changeover time ≤10 minutes.
Modular Design: Feeding fixtures, laminating heads, and cutting components all adopt a modular structure. For filters of special sizes, only the corresponding fixtures (e.g., customized clamping jaws, pressing rollers of different widths) need to be replaced, without adjusting the core transmission system.
Multi-Material Compatibility: Supports automatic feeding of roll-type edge laminating materials (3-20mm in width) and is compatible with different materials such as sponge, non-woven fabric, and rubber strips. The unwinding mechanism can accommodate material rolls with diameters of Φ300-Φ600mm, reducing material change frequency.
With automated and high-precision edge laminating operations, the automatic edge welt machine solves the problems of traditional manual edge laminating (low efficiency, not precise enough, inconsistent quality), and helps filter manufacturers do the following:
